3 players who could potentially be signed by Manchester United in January 2023

Manchester United has recruited a number of players in the 2022 summer transfer market. Even so, MU is reportedly still looking to bring in several more players.

Those who arrived were Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka arriving at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are believed to be planning a transfer in the January market. Manager Erik ten Hag revealed last week that talks over a transfer would take place this month.

United are thought to want a right-back, creative midfielder and striker. Who are the potential targets for the 20-time British champions?

Hamari Traore

Hamari Traore was linked with Barcelona at the end of the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old is thought to be available for 3 million euros. His contract at Rennes expires at the end of the season and his club are reluctant to lose him for free.

The right-back has made 212 appearances for the French club since moving from Reims in July 2017. He has contributed five goals and 22 assists in the process. This season, the Malian has contributed one assist in nine appearances.

MU reportedly put him on the buy list to coat Diogo Dalot at right-back post. Traore's move could threaten Aaron Wan-Bissaka's position.

Youri Tielemans

United reportedly identified Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans as a top target in January.

Tielemans with 52 caps for the Belgian national team is considered suitable to add creativity to the MU midfield. According to Fichajes, United feel Christian Eriksen is their only choice at the moment for the role.

However, Leicester did not want to part with one of their best players. However, Leicester could not do much.

The 25-year-old's contract expires at the end of this season. January will be their last chance to cash in on the midfielder before he can leave on a free transfer.

Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay was linked with United in the final stages of the summer transfer window before eventually staying at Barcelona.

The 28-year-old's contract at Camp Nou expires in June 2023. He doesn't appear to be in Xavi's plans.

The Dutchman, who moved to Camp Nou on a free transfer last year, scored 13 goals and provided two assists in 38 appearances for Barca.

Memphis has only played twice this season. He will almost certainly leave in January or at the end of his contract. He also has the opportunity to return to Old Trafford.
