Bayern Munich slumped, Sadio Mane not happy with Julian Nagelsmann's tactics?

Bayern Munich is in a difficult period after failing to win in four consecutive Bundesliga matches. On the other hand, Sadio Mane has struggled to get to his best level with Bayern and is claimed to be unhappy.

Bayern Munich lost 1-0 when they met Augsburg in the 7th week of the Bundesliga, Saturday (17/9/2022). Augsburg's single goal in the duel held at the WWK Arena was scored by Mergim Berisha in the 59th minute.

This is a bad result for Bayern Munich. They did win against Barcelona in the Champions League, but slumped in the Bundesliga. Die Roten failed to win four games in a row (three draws, one loss).

Bayern are now in 4th place in the Bundesliga standings with 12 points from seven matches. So, what happened to Bayern? Why is Sadio Mane's performance declining? Check out the full review below

Doesn't Fit Nagelsmann's Tactics?

The match against Augsburg gave a bad record for Bayern. Because, for the first time Bayern failed to score after 87 consecutive games in the Bundesliga. There is something wrong with Bayern Munich's attack line.

Dietmar Hamann criticizes Sadio Mane. It's not just about Mane and the performances displayed, the former Liverpool player said Julian Nagelsmann's tactics did not match Mane's character and playing style.

"Sadio Mane is not integrated with the team. I saw this situation happening at Liverpool too, when Sadio Mane played in the middle," said Hamann.

"That's not Mane's position. Now he's taking that position at Bayern Munich. He's at his best when he comes from outside the box. He doesn't look happy," continued Hamann.

Drowning

Nagelsmann plays Mane as a centre-forward. Initially, Mane performed well and scored three goals in his first three games in the Bundesliga. However, Mane has then failed to score in his last five matches in all competitions.

"Other players like Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala or, defender, Lucas Hernandez, who is now injured, are now showing great performances. Nobody is talking about Mane at the moment," said Hamann.

"Mane seemed isolated and hardly took part in the game. Bayern Munich must understand that," concluded Hamann.
