49erssports.com - Former Premier League goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes Christian Pulisic could benefit from the sacking of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea in early September. The German manager had to leave Stamford Bridge because of the poor results achieved by the club.
Chelsea have lost three in the Premier League. The Blues also lost their first match in the Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb.
Now Tuchel's position has been replaced by Graham Potter. The former Brighton manager has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel's departure
Pulisic didn't get much playing time under Tuchel. Friedel believes that Tuchel's departure from Chelsea will have a positive impact on Pulisic.
"From the point of view of an American fan, I want Pulisic to play more, and I want him to do well in the World Cup," Friedel told Betway.
"He might really benefit from the departure of Thomas Tuchel, because things didn't go well up front in terms of starting and minutes on the pitch."
Chance with Potter
Pulisic might be able to revive his career under Potter. Friedel hoped that could happen.
"Again, I don't know what Graham Potter thinks of him, but he's a new head coach so he's going to give him a chance: I'm sure that at some stage."
