Dybala contributed one goal in Roma's 2-1 win over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, Tuesday (13/9/2022) early morning hrs. He broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, then provided the assist for Tammy Abraham's winning goal scorer in the 71st minute. The host's goal was created by Filippo Bandinelli in the 43rd minute.
Dybala explained that his performance could not be separated from the instructions given by Mourinho. The former Manchester United coach provides effective instructions for scoring goals.

"Mourinho wanted me and Tammy [Abraham] to play close to each other and put pressure on the Empoli centre-backs. After the first goal, I disobeyed his orders, which opened up more space."
