3 Changes Graham Potter Must Make for Chelsea vs Manchester United

49erssports.com - Chelsea will face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge this weekend. This match is important for Graham Potter and his squad who need to win again.

The pace of the Blues' victory under Potter stopped mid-week. They were held to a goalless draw by Brentford (0-0) away.

Therefore, the match against MU this weekend will be very important for Jorginho et al. Potter is expected to lose his best squad after rotating in the match against Brentford yesterday.

At least, there are three changes Graham Potter has to make for Chelsea vs Manchester United this weekend. Anything?

Thiago Silva for Jorginho

Potter is expected to try to return Silva to Chelsea's starting XI. For that, a player must be sacrificed, Jorginho could be a candidate.

Against Brentford yesterday, Trevoh Chalobah played as a central defender and he played quite well. However, to overcome the threat of Manchester United through Marcus Rashford, Chalobah may be shifted to the right.

Thus, Cesar Azpilicueta can fill the right wing-back post to replace the absence of Reece James. So, Ruben Loftus-Cheek could return to midfield.

Loftus-Cheek could partner Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount to form Chelsea's midfield trio.

Christian Pulisic to Kai Havertz

This season has not been an easy one for Pulisic. The coach has changed, but he still hasn't been able to get the regular playing minutes he'd hoped for.

Against Brenford yesterday, Pulisic did not start, but he made a significant impact when he came on as a substitute. He came close to scoring and was seen repeatedly breaking down the opponent's defence.

That slick performance should make Pulisic deserve a chance, at least to replace Kai Havertz. The German forward hasn't really reached the top level this season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Armando Broja

Potter tries to keep the players fit by rotating the squad. That's why Aubameyang was substituted for the match against Brentford yesterday. So, against Manchester United tomorrow, Aubameyang should be a starter again.

The Gabon striker has scored three goals in his last five appearances for Chelsea. Aubameyang is still believed to be the main goal scorer by Potter.

Aubameyang's experience will also be a determining factor against Manchester United tomorrow. He knows that the match against Manchester United is never easy. Chelsea squad needs full focus to face the threat of the Red Devils.
