Karim Benzema finally opened his voice regarding his physical condition. He allayed the concerns of French fans by insisting he would be 100 per cent fit when the 2022 World Cup was held.
"I had a few minor glitches. Nothing serious," Benzema recently told Amazon Prime.
"There is still time between now and November 22 [France's World Cup opener against Australia]. I will be in good shape, ready physically and mentally," Benzema said.
About the Ballon d'Or
Karim Benzema made a special appearance in the 2021/2022 season. He didn't just score a lot of goals.
But he also brought Real Madrid to La Liga and the Champions League. That earned him the Ballon d'Or award.
Benzema is of course very proud of the award. He then thanked Madrid and his former club Lyon.
"It's amazing. Thanks to my club Real Madrid, who allowed me to realize my dream, and to Lyon, my team when I was growing up," he said.

Karim Benzema is now 34 years old. His age will increase on December 20.
Coincidentally that day coincided with the World Cup final. Benzema also hopes that France can play in the final match and the title will be the perfect gift for him, especially after he was not called up at the 2018 World Cup.
"This will be one of the best birthday gifts for me. Every game will be a final," he exclaimed.
"We have a very good group. We will live it game by game," said Benzema.
