Lewandowski: Arkadiusz Milik fits in with Juventus

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski talks about Arkadiusz Milik. He considered his compatriot suitable at Juventus.

Milik joined Juventus on loan from Marseille at the start of this season. The 28-year-old striker has so far scored three goals in six matches in all competitions.

Lewandowski has a very good relationship with Milik. Both of them are still trusted to fill the position of striker in the Polish national team.

The duo of Lewandowski and Milik once helped Poland advance to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016. Unfortunately, Milik's career after that tended to dwindle due to two knee injuries.

Belong to Juventus

So far, Milik is doing pretty well with Juventus. Lewandowski assesses the former Napoli player is very suitable to play at Juventus.

"Today, everything is different from six years ago, when we reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016. Robert Lewandowski is different, Arek Milik is different, the reality is different, which of course doesn't rule out a good partnership," Lewandowski told Przeglad Sportowy.

"The most important thing is that Arek has come back to life at a new club, and when I saw him wearing the Juventus shirt, I said that he fits in and looks good there."

Continuing in the National Team

Poland will face the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League. Lewandowski hopes Milik's slick performance will continue while strengthening the national team.

"Hopefully it can be displayed with the team here," he continued.

"We've always had a good relationship on and off the pitch. We've known each other for a long time and I hope the current form will help."
