Instead of Bayern, Lewandowski feels his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or are bigger at Barcelona

As a footballer, Robert Lewandowski certainly has hopes of being able to win the Ballon d'Or award. He also feels his chance to win the award is greater at Barcelona than at Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski appeared so sharp while defending Bayern. The Polish striker has scored 344 goals in 375 appearances in all competitions.

Even so, the Ballon d'Or award has always escaped Lewandowski's hands. That includes the 2021 edition for losing to Argentine star Lionel Messi.

This season, Lewandowski decided to move to Barcelona. The 34-year-old has scored 11 goals in eight games in all competitions.

Ballon d'Or

Now, after wearing the Barcelona uniform, Lewandowski thinks he has a greater chance of being able to win the Ballon d'Or. Because, now many Blaugrana players have won the award.

"Maybe the Barcelona players won it more often, but this trophy doesn't keep me up at night," Lewandowski told Barca Universal.

"My approach is that from Barca there is a shorter path to the Ballon d'Or than at Bayern."

The difference between La Liga and the Bundesliga

Lewandowski looks very comfortable playing in La Liga. He also explained the difference between La Liga and the Bundesliga.

“The Bundesliga is definitely more physical. In Spain, more teams try and want to play football."

"This is what I see now, but I can't rule out that perception will change. We are facing a game with a team that will defend themselves."
