4 Arsenal Stars Who May Miss The 2022 World Cup

49erssports.com - Arsenal's slick performance in the 2022/2023 season helped lift Ben White. It's just that Ben White is now hoping to be anxious because his name is not necessarily brought by the England national team to the 2022 World Cup.

This refers to the list of England players who were called up by Gareth Southgate for the UEFA Nations League last September. Southgate instead chose to call Conor Coady, Eric Dier, Marc Guehi, John Stones, Fikayo Tomori and Harry Maguire instead of calling Ben White.

Mikel Arteta even commented on the situation of his men in the England national team. "Ben is ready to strengthen England. But it all comes back to Gareth. Whenever Ben gets a call, he will be ready, "Arteta said as quoted by the Mirror.

Ben White is not the only Arsenal star who is in danger of missing the 2022 World Cup. There are four Arsenal stars whose fate may be the same as the 25-year-old defender. So who are they? Check out his review below.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Gabriel Magalhaes may miss the 2022 World Cup. In fact, the player who was brought in by the Gunners from Lille has been consistent since last season.

Together with William Saliba, Gabriel made a solid rock at the heart of Arsenal's defense. Unfortunately, his positive nicks in the Premier League did not make Tite call him to the Brazilian national team.

An indication that Gabriel may not be brought by Brazil at the 2022 World Cup is in the friendly matches against Ghana and Tunisia in September. Gabriel wasn't called. Tite instead called Roger Ibanez and Gleison Bremer as coatings for Marquinhos and Thiago Silva.

Ben White

Similar to Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White may also miss the 2022 World Cup. This is inseparable from Gareth Southgate's decision to not take his name into account.

Currently, in the center back area there are the names of the young duo Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori whose performance is rising. Not to mention there are experienced names like Eric Dier, Harry Maguire, to John Stones.

Ben White is very difficult to penetrate the position. Ben White is also unlikely to be called up for the right-back role. Because, there are the names Kieran Trippier and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus was not called up by Tite in the two friendlies of the Brazilian national team in September. The coach's decision to leave the former Manchester City player has been debated.

Reporting from the FotMob page, Jesus is the most dangerous player in Arsenal's current squad where he has a highest xG of 6.0, scored five goals and five assists in 13 matches in all competitions. Jesus is ahead of Neymar's xG (5.3,) and Roberto Firmino (3.3).

Jesus was ready for Tite's decision. He fully respects the coach's policies. "Yes, there was (communication), after the call-up. I really respect the coach's decision, I respect Tite and the whole staff," said Jesus.

Emile Smith Rowe

The last Arsenal star to miss the 2022 World Cup is attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe. The 22-year-old player was seriously injured.

Smith Rowe has suffered a groin injury and has undergone surgery which has ruled him out for several months. Arsenal's medical team predicts that he will return to full training in December and could return to action after the World Cup ends.

So far, the player who has played for RB Leipzig has only made four appearances in all competitions in the 2022/2023 season.
