At the event which was held at the Theater du Chatelet, the winner of the Best Striker award aka Gerd Muller Award was announced directly by Muller's own wife, Uschi.
Lewandowski also successfully won the Best Striker award in two consecutive editions. In the 2021 edition yesterday, the former Bayern Munich striker also won this title.

Lewandowski again showed his sharpness throughout the 2021/2022 season yesterday. The Polish striker has scored 57 goals in 57 games in all competitions.
Thanks to these goals, Lewandowski helped Bayern Munich win two titles in the German local competition, the Bundesliga and the DFL-Supercup.
In addition, Lewandowski also carved a number of other individual achievements, namely winning the European golden boot and the Bundesliga's top scorer.
