Leao is great, but Krunic insists Milan don't depend on one person

AC Milan midfielder Rade Krunic says playing without Rafael Leao is not easy but insists the Rossoneri don't depend on just one player.

Milan just played against Sampdoria. Rafael Leao of course also played in the match.

But Leao acted recklessly. He got a red card, after collecting two yellow cards.

As a result he could not play in the match against Napoli. Even though the match was very important and tough

Milan beats Napoli

AC Milan's duel against Lazio was fierce. Milan played aggressively.

They recorded 22 shots against the Napoli defense. Unfortunately only five shots were on target and only one was a goal.

Napoli played more effectively. They had nine shots, four on target and scored two goals.

It's not easy to play without Leao

If only in that match AC Milan was strengthened by Rafael Leao, the end result might have been different. Rade Krunic then spoke about Leao's absence in the match against Napoli.

He said Milan was a bit difficult to play without Leao. But Krunic insists the Rossoneri are not dependent on the 23-year-old or on any other individual.

"We recognize the strength of the group, it's not easy to play without Leao who helps a lot. We are used to playing with him," he told Sky Italia.

"For me he is the strongest player in Serie A. But today we have shown that when we are united, we can play against everyone," claimed Krunic.

Milan should have won

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli previously said he was disappointed with the result against Napoli. He emphasized that Milan should have won three points in the match.

"I'm not satisfied at all and neither are my players. We only scored one goal, which is not enough for everything we created," he told DAZN.

"It's disappointing, because a night like this can happen when the opponent plays better, but in this case we shouldn't have lost," said Pioli.
