Berge has played for Sheffield since 2019. The Norwegian midfielder is now an important player in his team's midfield.
Despite having suffered a long injury, Berge performed quite well last season. The 24-year-old has scored six goals and provided four assists in 34 games in all competitions.
A number of clubs were reportedly interested in signing the midfielder in the transfer market last summer. That includes Chelsea and Liverpool.
Transfer Rumors
Now, Berge commented on the rumors. He said he was honored to be associated with both clubs.
"There is a lot of interest, concrete interest, you weigh a little bit, it has to work out for the club and me, and it doesn't happen," Berge told TV 2.
"It's always nice to sit in a position and know that a club is very interested."
Not Everything on the Internet is True
Chelsea and Liverpool are looking for a new midfielder in the transfer market last summer. However, Berge insists that what is on the internet is not all true.
"There's nothing negative about a club of that size being mentioned, but you shouldn't talk about it too much," he added.
"It can be ignited very little, and that's not always true, even if there are big and interesting clubs in the picture. Not everything on the internet is true."
